Bloggers to fly again at ICCAD
You may recall that the first ever EDA Bloggers Birds-of-a-Feather session was held a DAC 2008 in San Diego. If not, re-visit some of the coverage.
Well, looks like we’re at it again. Sean Murphy of SKMurphy is organizing the second ever EDA Bloggers Birds-of-a-Feather session, to be held in conjunction with ICCAD in San Jose, Novermber 12th, 4-6PM. See the details here.
Unfortunately, I won’t be able to attend this one, but the Northern California location will draw some folks that were not able to attend the DAC event. It looks like Karen Bartleson of The Standards Game, and John Busco of John’s Semi-blog will be presenting short talks, as well as Grant Martin of Taken for Granted at Chip Design Magazine, and Sean Murphy himself (Sean and Grant were at the first one, but John and Karen were not). That’s a good cross-section of the different types of EDA bloggers.
I’ll be very interested in the impressions of those who do attend - I wonder whether any of the established EDA journalists will visit - or whether they had their curiosity satisfied at the first session.
The first session tended to focus on the definition of a blogger. Hopefully the upcoming event will concentrate more on the goals of EDA bloggers and how those goals might be met.

Stumble It!

Hi John. Sorry you won’t be able to attend. Enjoyed your comments and our discussion from the last BoF.
Thanks John -
I’ll be anxious to see how it goes - with a room full of bloggers and journalists, we’re bound to get a storry out of it!
