As an engineer with a day job that has less to do with design automation or tool support, and more to do with nut-and-bolts DFT planning and implementation, there’s a slim chance that I will be traveling to DAC this year… On the other hand, as an EDA Blogger, I like to go to DAC to check out what’s happening in EDA, talk to DFT vendors, blog whatever fascinating things I see, and maybe meet up with some other bloggers… but – I think I’ll bypass DAC and stay in Carmel for my vacation instead…

Earlier this month in Austin, DFT and test engineers gathered for the 6th annual Southwest DFT Conference, sponsored by SiliconAid Solutions. By all accounts (at least the one I have ), it was a success, and may be destined for expansion…

It’s that time of year again: The 2009 Southwest DFT Conference will be held again in Austin TX, April 2nd and 3rd, sponsored by SiliconAid – a two day event that consists of a day-long tutorial and a second day consisting of three paper sessions, a panel discussion (and happy hour), and sponsored booths all day long.
